New Jersey and not New Jersey

As residents of New Jersey, we are always moving.

Drive … or walk … signs show the way. (Photo by Craig Allen)

So many roads. So much congestion and confusion.

A sign … waiting to arrive. (Photo by Craig Allen)

Needless to say we are surrounded by road signs.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like …

Look carefully … another type of “right end of lane signal” is on the road. (Photo by Craig Allen)

… there are signs that tell us to watch for signs.

Some road signs are “so Jersey”.

You are going never see a “circle” sign in another state. The roundabout is a Jersey Thing.

We think of Somerville, Flemington and Pennington Circle (s).

And, unfortunately, there are fewer, with the loss of Marlton Circle (and Olga’s Diner). All these years later, I’m still looking at that overpass, and I’m like, “This is where the circle was.”

Then there is the road sign you go never see in New Jersey:

I saw that “snowmobile crossing“sign just outside of Eagle River, Wisconsin in my travels a few winters ago.

And, just to prove that I was there …

… it’s not a nice picture of me … but, what do you want? It was 5 degrees, and it’s not taking the Wind Chill into account.

What road / traffic signs have you seen that you alone to find in New Jersey?

During your travels, what signs have you seen that tell you that you are clearly NOT in New Jersey?

Hey, New Jersey, “here is your sign” (or not).

I dare you.

Please to share.
