Salisbury to remove traffic lights on E Church and E Isabella streets – WGMD
As part of the City of Salisbury’s Department of Infrastructure and Development’s ongoing efforts to keep the public informed of improvements in the City of Salisbury, please note that City staff will be permanently removing the outdated signage system at the intersection of E Church St. and E Isabella St. on the east side of town. As traffic patterns have changed since the signal was originally installed, it is no longer required and will be replaced by a four-way stop.
The work will take place in three stages:
- The signal will be placed on four flashing red lights from Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 a.m. and will remain so for approximately two weeks.
- Stop signs will be placed on all four approaches over the next two weeks in preparation for signal removal
- The signal will drop around Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 a.m., depending on the weather.
Drivers should expect delays when using the intersection over the next few weeks. Residents will retain access to their homes at all times.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or require clarification regarding this project, please contact William White of the City of Salisbury’s Infrastructure and Development Department at 410-548-3170.
