Traffic management measures planned to accommodate ‘vital’ upgrades to Northern Gas Networks at Pudsey

It will take place in phases and the works, which have been planned in conjunction with Leeds City Council, are expected to be completed by January 2023.
From Monday June 27, temporary traffic lights will be installed on Uppermoor at the Tofts Road junction and will be in place for approximately two weeks,
There will be a road closure on South Parade at the Carlisle Road junction from Monday July 28, but this will only be in place for about a week.
Steve Pigott, Business Operations Manager for Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused during this essential work.
“However, it is essential that we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply for the people of Pudsey.
“We want to assure residents and road users that we will work hard to complete this essential project in the safest and fastest way possible.”
A signed diversion and advance warning signs will be in place to help inform road users of the circumstances.
Northern Gas Networks said the traffic measures are necessary to ensure work can be carried out safely and to protect members of the public.
